When construction began in 1910 by the native Lattimore family, the plan was centered around a set of integral one acre parks, spread throughout the neighborhood similar to the signature squares of Historic Savannah. The grid style streets, combined with alleyways for city services, were developed to serve as Savannah's first “automobile suburb.”  Chatham Crescent, which is comprised of the section of Ardsley Park spanning from 48th Street north to Victory Drive, can be admired for its gorgeous alleys of oak trees, the Ardsley Mall, and gorgeous estate style homes with styles ranging from Tudor, to European, Colonial and Traditional. The real estate offerings in this neighborhood can range from the $300’s to $2M+ and has become a hot spot for those relocating to Savannah, or locals looking for a lifestyle with more accessibility.
